@UkGuy83 wrote, for my sister and brother Sellers, but really this applies to any and all of us as we forge our ways through life: “ YOUR RACE, YOUR PACE.
This is for the person scrolling late tonight, looking at someone else's success and feeling that familiar, bitter pang of failure.
You see their follower count, their flawless photos, their overflowing inbox, their effortless confidence, and you think, "Why am I so far behind? What am I doing wrong?"
You are measuring your Chapter 1 against someone else's Chapter 20.
I need you to hear this, and let it sink right into your bones: YOU ARE NOT IN A RACE AGAINST THEM.
This is not a single, linear track where everyone is heading to the same finish line. That is the biggest lie this online world will ever tell you. The only race you are in is with the person you were yesterday. The only pace that matters is the one that is sustainable for YOUR heart, YOUR energy, and YOUR peace.
Stop looking at their lane. Their journey has nothing to do with you. Their success does not subtract from your potential. Celebrate their wins, yes. Learn from their strategies, of course. But do not ever let their pace become the stick you use to beat yourself with.
Some of us are sprinters. Some of us are marathon runners. And some of us are taking the scenic route with a dodgy map and stopping for frequent, unscheduled naps. All are valid journeys.
Your only job is to take the next step that is right for you.
Your race. Your pace. Your rules.
Now rest. The track will still be here tomorrow.”
